Safety Inspection Finds ‘Problems in Every Area’ at CSX

Schumer: Plans to form rail task force. The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA; Washington) says it found a total of 3,518 defects, or evidence of non-compliance with federal rail safety or hazardous material regulations, during an inspection of CSX Transportation’s equipment and operating practices conducted in January.
