Rail Antitrust Bill Sails Through Senate Judiciary

The Senate Judiciary Committee has unanimously approved a bill to remove the rail industry’s exemption from antitrust laws. Shippers including chemical firms applauded the bill’s passage, but the rail industry says such a regulation would create regulatory overlap and confusion.
