Ombudsman welcomes ECHA's new administrative measures

The European ombudsman, Nikiforos Diamondouros, has welcomed the positive reply of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) to suggestions he made to help the agency improve its administration. The suggestions concerned potential conflict of interest, handling of requests for access to documents, and the information provided to third parties. ECHA says it has taken the necessary steps to implement the suggestions. ECHA highlights concrete measures such as adoption of a new conflict of interest policy, and measures to ensure greater transparency...
