Monsanto Sues Over German Bt Corn Ban

Monsanto has taken legal action against the German government for banning cultivation of one of the company’s genetically modified Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) corn traits in Germany. Monsanto says Germany’s action is illegal because the European Commission has already approved the trait, sold as MON810, for cultivation in the European Union (EU).
