Monsanto Nears Settlement in West Virginia Dioxin Case

Monsanto and plaintiffs in a West Virginia medical monitoring lawsuit may have a deal to settle the case which stems from the company’s legacy liability for a former Agent Orange production unit at Nitro, WV. Jury selection has begun for the scheduled trial, but the parties met yesterday to discuss a potential settlement, according to the Charleston Gazette. Another hearing is scheduled for today.
