Lisa Jackson steps down from top post at EPA

US EPA administrator Lisa Jackson says that she will leave the agency after President Obama’s State of the Union address later this month. Jackson, who on December 28 informed EPA staff of her decision to step down, says she is confident she leaves a ship “sailing in the right direction.”   Jackson’s resignation was expected, but it is uncertain who will take her place, Washington sources say.
