Iowa Launches Antitrust Probe Against Monsanto

Monsanto says it will provide information regarding its seed, trait, and chemistry related licensing and marketing programs to Iowa’s attorney general’s office in response to a civil investigative demand. The request is “part of an inquiry into possible antitrust violations by the company and it seeks information on business practices of the company,” says a spokesperson for the Iowa Attorney General’s office.
