Industry Forms Group to Lobby on Sustainable Building Standards

ACC, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and 25 other industry groups have formed the American High-Performance Buildings Coalition (Washington) aimed a developing sustainable building standards “based on consensus and scientific performance data.” The new group is in response to a revision the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), a voluntary, 100-point rating system used for ranking new buildings for energy efficiency and other sustainability factors.
