EnviroTech :: Regulatory Gillibrand Bill to Regulate Cosmetics Ingredients11:36 AM MDT | May 8, 2009 | KARA SISSELL Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D., NY) has introduced legislation that would require FDA to investigate and regulate the chemicals in cosmetics and personal care products marketed to and used by children. The “Safe Baby Products Act” would require FDA to “investigate the safety of these products, publicly report the findings, and establish manufacturing practices that will reduce or eliminate any harmful chemicals,” Gillibrand says.
