German industry association uses IHS study to back case for energy policy reform

German chemical industry association VCI (Frankfurt) has used a study prepared by IHS to back VCI's case for a change in direction of the German government's energy policy. A change is needed to preserve the competitiveness of German industry, VCI says. Karl-Ludwig Kley, president of VCI and chairman of Merck KGaA, presented the IHS study to the government in Berlin earlier this week.
