EU Sets Revised Pesticide Residue Limits

Comprehensive new pesticide residue restrictions entered into force in the European Union (EU) earlier this month, an effort officials say will harmonize regulations in the 27 EU member states. The maximum residue levels (MRLs) are aimed at eliminating the confusion caused by each of the 27 member states having their own MRL for each pesticide. Schmider: A welcome change.
