EU Parliament Panel Passes Rules for New Pesticides

The European Parliament’s Environment Committee has advanced regulations for approval of new pesticide products. The regulation revises criteria for approving pesticides and bans substances that are “genotoxic, carcinogenic, toxic to reproduction, or endocrine disrupting,” the committee says.
