EU Approves AkzoNobel Powder Coatings Deal

The European Commission has approved AkzoNobel's acquisition of Dow Chemical's powder coatings business, the commission announced today. The business was originally a part of Rohm and Haas, and passed into Dow's hands when the two merged last year. AkzoNobel first announced the power coatings acquisition in November, though the price has not been disclosed.
