EnviroTech :: Regulatory EPA to Review its Defense of Bush Perc Rule11:54 AM MDT | April 8, 2009 | Kara Sissell EPA has temporarily withdrawn its challenge to a lawsuit brought by the Sierra Club, which sued the agency in 2006 to overturn its rule governing use of the dry cleaning solvent perchloroethylene (perc). The lawsuit was slated to go forward later this month, but EPA says it the new administration will review the issue before going forward. EPA has asked the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Disrict of Columbia to suspend oral arguments in the case, originally scheduled for next month.The 2006 rule allowed most dry cleaners to continue using the solvent...
