EnviroTech :: Regulatory EPA: Ineos Agrees to Halt Import of Short-Chain Chlorinated Paraffins into U.S.11:02 AM MDT | August 22, 2012 | Kara Sissell U.S. EPA says that Ineos has agreed to stop importing short-chain chlorinated paraffins into the U.S. as part of a settlement agreement. EPA says Ineos had been importing chlorinated paraffins of various lengths without the proper notice required by the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). Ineos also has agreed in the future to submit the required notices for future imports of medium- and long-chain chlorinated paraffins and to pay a fine of $175,000.
