EFSA launches consultation on renewal of authorization of feed additives

The Panel on Additives and Products or Substances used in Animal Feed (FEEDAP) of the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA; Parma, Italy) has launched an open consultation on a draft guidance on the renewal of the authorization of feed additives, says EFSA. Feed additive permits need reviewing every 10 years, under EU rules. The first such renewals will be evaluated by EFSA in 2015.
