EFSA finalizes new guidance on risks to bees from pesticides

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA; Parma, Italy) has published new guidance for assessing the risks to bees from the use of pesticides. Previous risk assessment for honeybees did not take full account of risks from chronic or repeat exposure, or the potential risks to larvae. The new guidance fills these gaps, and adds schemes for bumble bees and solitary bees, says EFSA.
