ECHA's appeal board upholds decision against Lanxess

The appeal board of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) says it has upheld an ECHA decision requiring information on sub-chronic toxicity, and developmental toxicity in a second species for triphenyl phosphate (TPP). Lanxess had requested an extension to a deadline for providing information on sub-chronic toxicity in the rate via the oral route. Lanxess requested the extension to allow it to take into consideration the results of a 13-week sub-chronic toxicity study on mice, which was planned under the United States National Toxicology Program (USNTP)...
