Court Sets June 7 Deadline for EPA's Proposed Particulates Rule12:53 PM MDT | June 4, 2012 | Kara Sissell The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia recently ordered EPA to sign off on its proposed Clean Air Act standards for particulates, or soot, by June 7. The decision follows a petition filed by some states and environmental groups challenging the agency’s failure to propose the rule. EPA, in a status report filed with the court, says it submitted materials for the proposal to the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on May 29.
