EnviroTech :: Regulatory Congress Mandates EPA Work with NAS on Nanotechnology Research12:42 PM MST | January 16, 2008 | CW Editorial Staff A spending bill passed by Congress late last month contains a mandate for EPA to coordinate with the National Academy of Sciences (NAS; Washington) in developing a federal nanotechnology environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) research strategy. Congress has directed EPA to sign a contract with NAS Board on Environmental Studies and Toxicology by March 21, which will outline steps for developing and monitoring implementation of nanotech EH&S research program.
