California Files Suit Against Mislabeled Personal Care Products

California’s attorney general has filed a lawsuit against four personal care manufacturers, alleging that the companies have failed to give “clear and reasonable warning” of the presence of 1,4-dioxane in certain body washes, gels, and liquid dish soaps. The suit was recently filed by Attorney General Jerry Brown in Alameda County Superior Court against Whole Foods Market California (Austin, TX), Avalon Natural Products (Petaluma, CA), Beaumont Products (Kennewaw, GA), and NutriBiotic (Lakeport, CA).
