Albemarle Affirms Support for EPA's Pending PBDE Ruling

Albemarle has announced their support of the EPA’s movement to address polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) flame retardants by amending the Significant New Use Rule (SNUR) that would require full evaluation of the health and safety effects of PBDE. The amendment of SNUR would also require companies to submit notification to the EPA explaining what new activities the chemical will be used for, and why it is necessary.
