Air Products begins operating DOE carbon-capture project

Air Products announced that is has successfully begun operating its carbon recovery project at Port Arthur, TX, as a part of the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Demonstration Project that will capture about 1 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) annually, with an additional 1.6–3.1 million bbl of oil expected to be produced annually from the CO2 injection, DOE says.
