ECHA opens public consultation on N-methylpyrrolidone

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) has opened a public consultation on N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP). The substance is used mainly as a solvent, as a cleaning agent, and in the manufacture of various types of polymers. The proposal for restriction was submitted by the National Institute of Public Health (RIVM; Bilthoven, Netherlands).
