Chemical companies continue to exploit their expertise in the development of materials and services that meet the mega-trend issues of sustainability. Among those companies making rapid progress in this field is Enerkem (Pontotoc, MS), a waste-to-biomaterials firm, which this week says it has completed a $60 million funding round. Valero Energy (San Antonio, TX) joined existing investors Waste Management (Houston), Rho Ventures (New York, NY), Braemar Energy Ventures (New York, NY)...
