Solvay Codevelops Small Hydrogen Peroxide Units for on-Site Production

Solvay says it is developing, in partnership with Peróxidos do Brasil--a joint venture of Solvay and Produtos Quimicos Makay (Curitiba, Brazil)--a new concept of small, cost-effective hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) production units of 5,000 m.t.-15,000 m.t./year for installation at customers' sites. The concept is ideal for pulp and paper production plants in remote areas such as those in Latin America and Asia, Solvay says. The concept is based on new Solvay technology for the production of H2O2, which has been developed at the company's H2O2 R&D...
