EnviroTech :: R&D Showa Denko Chooses Myriant to Supply Succinic Acid for PBS Efforts12:28 PM MST | January 25, 2012 | Rebecca Coons in San Diego Showa Denko says it has selected Myriant (Quincy, MA) to supply biobased succinic acid for its polybutylene succinate (PBS) production. The deal endorses Myriant’s low-cost, feedstock-flexible technology platform, Myriant says. Financial terms were not disclosed. Showa Denko currently produces limited amounts of petroleum-based PBS in China, but did not disclose any plans to invest in additional manufacturing capacity.
