Rhodia Buys Stake in Phoenix Venture Partners

Rhodia has acquired an equity interest in Phoenix Venture Partners (PVP; Silicon Valley, CA), an investment fund that focuses on financing and development of technology start-up companies. The fund targets companies working primarily on advanced materials investing mainly in North America and, to a lesser extent, Europe and Asia. The purchase follows Rhodia's recent acquisition of a stake in Aster II, a Europe-based venture fund.
