Novartis to Invest $1 Billion on R&D Center in China; Opens $250-Million API Site at Changshu

Novartis says it will invest $1 billion over the next five years, to increase pharmaceutical research and development (R&D) activities in China. The investment will involve a significant expansion of the Novartis Institute of BioMedical Research (CNIBR) at Shanghai, the company says.
