EnviroTech :: R&D Mitsui Develops Novel Catalysts8:48 AM MDT | August 26, 2008 | Deepti Ramesh Mitsui Chemicals says that its overseas R&D unit, Mitsui Chemicals Asia Pacific Technical Centre (Singapore), as well as the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (Astar; Singapore) have jointly developed a zeolite-based catalyst that can produce benzene and hydrogen from methane. Mitsui says it has also individually developed a high-performance catalyst for manufacturing propylene glycol from glycerin. Mitsui and Astar will continue to improve the catalyst for producing benzene and hydrogen from methane and will work to commercialize technologies...
