Materia Licenses Catalyst Technology Exclusively to BASF

Materia (Pasadena, CA), a catalysts firm, says it has agreed to exclusively license its metathesis catalyst technology to BASF for R&D use to make certain undisclosed specialty chemicals. Financial terms were not disclosed.   Metathesis catalysts enable the formation and manipulation of carbon-to-carbon bonds in the synthesis of certain specialty chemicals.
