Major Report Forecasts Growth in Pharma Outsourcing

There will be a significant increase in outsourcing of pharmaceutical services from the U.S. to overseas locations in the year ahead, according to a recently published report by Health Industry Insights, part of market research group IDC (Framingham, MA). Big pharma companies and emerging biotechnology firms will outsource more R&D, clinical trials, manufacturing, and other activities in 2008, the report says.
