Lonza Signs Deal with Swedish Start-up

Lonza says it has signed a deal to provide development and cGMP manufacturing services for Athera (Solna, Sweden), a start-up biotech company. Financial terms were not disclosed. Athera is part of Karolinska Development (Solna), a group which has a portfolio of more than 40 pharmaceutical companies. Lonza says it will initiate cell line and process development, using its GS Gene expression system for Athera’s monoclonal antibody, PC-mAb, a developmental drug intended for the treatment of patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).
