Genencor, Novozymes Unveil Greener Processes for Fabrics

Genencor (Rochester, NY), a division of Danisco, has introduced a novel enzyme-based process for bleaching denim that uses significantly less water and energy than established processes, the company says.   Genencor’s technology, named PrimaGreen, is a liquid esterase enzyme that is biodegradable and used in conjunction with renewable resources.
