EnviroTech :: R&D EU Rejects Development of Separate Nanomaterials Regulation3:40 AM MDT | June 28, 2011 | Alex Scott in Brussels The European Commission confirmed today that it is not seeking to develop a new body of legislation to manage risks presented by nanomaterials. Instead, it is planning for nanomaterials to be managed under existing legislation, including the Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) program. A review of Reach, scheduled for 2012, will take nanomaterials more fully into account, the commission says.
