DuPont inks MCC deal

DuPont is expanding its microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) product lines through an extended agreement with Mingtai Chemical (Bade City, Taiwan), a leading manufacturer of MCC. The agreement includes development, production, distribution, marketing, and sale of the hydrocolloid to the global food industries. DuPont’s Danisco unit previously partnered with Mingtai to develop MCC products for the food industry, and the deal added MCC to Danisco’s Grindsted line of hydrocolloids.
