One of the technologies highlighted was its low cost, greener process for making Diphenyl carbonate (DPC), a key intermediate for making polycarbonate. Shell also detailed a novel surfactant that it is already testing in its oil wells that has the potential to enable the recovery of 150 billion bbl of oil.
