One story dominates the world's chemical innovation news this week; the European Union’s (EU) unveiling of its FP7, (€7 billion ($10 billion) innovation program. The European Union’s FP7 R&D program is designed to promote sustainability and economic growth in the region through 2020. It is the biggest innovation program in the world and from 2007 through 2013 is expected to inject about €53 billion into various projects. Key projects include nanomaterials activities.
