Cefic Awards $141,000 for Environmental Exposure Research

Cefic has awarded its annual Long-range Research Initiative (LRI) Innovative Science Award to Hector Keun, a lecturer in biochemistry at Imperial College, London. Keun won the award for his research proposal on ‘Using Metabonomic biomarkers to bridge the gap between environmental exposure and human disease.’ Keun was one of 40 entries for the award, which Cefic has undertaken each year for the past six years.   “Keun’s proposal will bring more insight and help reduce public concerns about the potential impact of environmental factors...
