Borregaard secures funding for biomass-based R&D

Borregaard (Sarpsborg, Norway) has received a pledge for a 12.4-million Norwegian kroner ($2 million) grant from Innovation Norway (Oslo), the former company has announced. The funds will be used over three years for innovation projects based on products made from biomass. The funds form part of a Norwegian government package of measures for the forestry industry as well as a biorefinery program financed by the Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation (Oslo).
