Bayer MaterialScience Expands Research Center in China

Bayer MaterialScience says it has begun the third phase of expansion of its polymer research & development center (PRDC) at Shanghai, China. The expanded research center is expected to be operational by the second half of 2012. Following the expansion the number of employees at PRDC will increase from 130 to nearly twice that number, and will then have a range of research and development expertise and include solutions-focused offerings for customers in specific industries such as mobility, renewable energy and construction, the company says. “China is...
