EnviroTech :: R&D BASF Applies for Approval for Amadea, Another Starch Potato3:59 AM MDT | September 1, 2010 | Natasha Alperowicz BASF yesterday celebrated the harvesting of its genetically modified Amflora starch potato at Zepkow in the Mecklenburg, Western Pomerania region of Germany in the presence of Rainer Brüderle, the German Federal Minister of Economics and Technology. Together with BASF's chairman Jürgen Hambrecht and Stefan Marcinowski, board member/plant biotechnology, Brüderle harvested the first tubers of the starch potatoes.
