EnviroTech :: R&D Arkema Invests in R&D Center at Changshu, May Build MMA Unit in Asia (update)10:08 AM MDT | October 11, 2011 | Natasha Alperowicz in Shanghai Arkema has announced plans to invest €10 million ($13.6 million) in an R&D center at its Changshu, China manufacturing complex and says it is studying plans for a world scale methyl methacrylate (MMA) plant in Asia. Speaking at a journalists' press briefing in Shanghai earlier today, Thierry Le Henaff, CEO said that the R&D center will add to the nine centers the company operates in Japan, France, and the U.S. and it will be close to Chinese customers.
