AkzoNobel Steps up Research into Anticorrosion Coatings

AkzoNobel has unveiled a five-year research partnership with the University of Manchester (Manchester, U.K.) to investigate the science of anti-corrosion coatings. When the research begins April 1 of this year it will be the world’s largest academic unit dedicated to the study of corrosion. AkzoNobel will provide the research program with €1 million in funding, to be delivered subject to the research team meeting certain targets. The company will have a laboratory at the university.
