AgroFresh, Syngenta Form Crop Technology Alliance

Rohm and Haas (R&H) and Syngenta have agreed to form an alliance to develop and commercialize Invinsa crop protection technology, which is currently under development by R&H’s AgroFresh unit. Invinsa is a sprayable formulation of 1-methylcyclopropene that works by preventing ethylene, a natural plant hormone, from triggering stress responses in field crops during extended periods of high temperature, mild-to-moderate drought, and other crop stresses, R&H says. Invinsa can increase crop yields by 5%-15% and has market potential of more than $500...
