3M names new chief technology officer

3M today named Ashish Khandpur senior v.p./R&D and chief technology officer, effective immediately. Khandpur replaces Frederick Palensky, who is retiring after 37 years with the company. Khandpur joined 3M in its adhesives research division in 1995.
