U.S. Researchers Develop a New Method for Creating Nanofibers

Researchers at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University (NYU-Poly) say they have developed a new method for creating nanofibers made of proteins. The new development could be adopted by the pharmaceutical industry to create a new generation of drugs for the treatment of cancers, heart disorders, and Alzheimer's disease as well as to aid in the generation of human tissue, bone, and cartilage, the researchers say.
