Lonza Bags Manufacturing Contract Using Microreactor Technology

Lonza says it has won a manufacturing contract with a big pharma company, and the manufacture of the product will be based on Lonza’s proprietary microreactor technology (MRT), enabling scale-up, clinical trials, and large-scale commercial quantities. Further details of the contract were not disclosed. MRT utilizes continuous flow processes based on plug flow reactors and it requires minimal reagent volumes while offering rapid dynamic responses and robustness, Lonza says.
