DSM Licenses-in Enzymes from Codexis

DSM has made a move to bolster its contract manufacturing business by signing a deal with Codexis (Redwood City, CA), an enzymes technology firm, to secure access to certain enzymes. Financial terms were not disclosed. The enzymes procurement deal is DSM’s second in as many months following its agreement with c-LEcta (Leipzig, Germany), a custom enzymes developer, to license-in a series of alcohol dehydrogenases for processing chiral alcohols.  The agreement with Codexis grants DSM rights to use Codexis’ custom biocatalysts and services, and...
