Wacker Opens New Biologics Facility at Jena

Wacker Chemie has opened a new production facility for pharmaceutical proteins at its Jena, Germany site. The plant is part of Wacker's program to enlarge its biotech operations. The expansion, together with the a new building for process development and quality control, completed last year, brings Wacker's total investment in the Jena facility to some €18 million.
